Let’s be honest: Wouldn’t it be nice to have an extra hand on the job site sometimes? An extra hand to hold things in place while we’re making repairs, replacing cables, or pulling down guys—it would make everything so much easier!
Bull Bite Grips are the next best thing.
We’re giving wire grips a much-needed update so we can actually use them the way they’re supposed to be used. (About time, right?)
We added a second rigging eye and elongated the handle of our grips to make them easier to open and use. No more wrestling with grips to get them on, no more trying to fit your thumb in the same hole as the hoist hook, and no more smashing your thumb in the process.
Our simple but revolutionary design makes using our wire grips a truly one-handed operation, freeing up your other hand to get the job done.
Plus as an added bonus, by using Bull Bite Grips you will become 27% faster, 17% stronger and on average 38% smarter. Well, we can’t guarantee all this, but hey, you never know. But what we can guarantee is a kick-a** tool that you will be proud to use.
Our grips are not coming from some engineer in a lab who doesn’t understand what it means to work on the pole, or from some corporate machine that’s only interested in selling you something you don’t need. 100% made in America, this is a grip that’s designed by folks who’ve been using power lineman tools in the field for years.
As Line Hands, we’ve all been using the same grip for decades because that’s what we were given. And those grips work, but there’s so much room for improvement. Bull Bite Grips evolved from a real need we saw on job sites, and they were designed (and tested) by people who continue to depend on these tools every day.
At Bull Bite, we believe you should be able to depend on your lineman tools as much as you depend on your crew. And you know as well as we do: It’s more than just a crew—it’s a family.
That’s exactly what we’re trying to build here: a family and a culture where we can all come together and not only have kick-a** tools but have a place where we can share ideas and build a sense of community. We want crews to see you using Bull Bite Grips and yell out, “We got those, too!”
Because that’s who we are: a family of Line Hands who just want to make the job a little bit easier, a lot safer, and a whole lot more fun—one grip at a time.
Uncle Beau is a proud American and proud lineman who knows how to have a good time while getting the job done. He loves his job, his family, and his crew, and he’s always ready to work hard. Whether it’s raining or snowing, freezing cold or scorching hot, you can always count on Uncle Beau to make everything more fun. When Uncle Beau has your back, you know everything is going to be okay.
Bull Bite Grips are 100% Uncle Beau approved! Here’s what he has to say:
Let me tell you a little about how I found out about Bull Bite Grips.
I was working out in Oklahoma and it was cold—real cold, we’re talking dead of winter cold. Did I say cold? ‘Cause I mean COLD.
And let me tell you, in that kind of cold, you’re thinking about anything warm to get you through it. Like that trip to Hawaii you’ve been thinking about. (Well, that’s going to get booked as soon as you’re back in the truck!) Anyway, I was fighting to put the grip on the wire to finish up the dead end project for the day. And I just couldn’t get my thumb and the hoist hook in the same hole, my hands were cramping, and I was having a rough go of it… I just couldn’t get a good feel of it, you know?
Well I got the job done, of course, like always. No complaints here! You know how it is: when things get rough, you just have to suck it up and get after it!
But after that long day, I was shooting the breeze with my buddy, and we talked all about how the project went and how cold it was, and that Hawaii trip I just booked… and then he tells me he has this idea.
He starts talking about this idea for a new wire grip. One with a longer handle and an ex-tra rigging eye so you wouldn’t have to cram your thumb and hoist hook in the same spot, and I’m thinking to myself: why hasn’t anyone done this before?
He says, “What do you think, Beau?”
What do I think? “I’m into it,” I say, “like big time.” Anything that makes my life easier, I’m all for.
He says he has a prototype that I could try out in the field while I travel around. And I’m telling you, this new grip is awesome. I can handle it easily. I can manipulate it no prob-lem. And it just makes everything a lot easier. I started sharing the grip prototype with all the crews I worked with, and word started to spread. And, well, here we are!
These grips are set to come out in 2021—be sure to send in your info so you can get on the waitlist and be the first to know how to get your hands on them.
